NJ Divorce and NJ divorce Mediation - Four Way Conferences

Dec 21, 2016 @ 08:00 PM — by Michael Green

There are times when the parties are best served by having a four-way conference between the parties and their attorneys.  In these instances, the parties and their attorneys meet to essentially mediate the case and bring it to closure.  All terms of the divorce may be negotiated through this process, which may include caucusing, where the parties are with their attorneys in a separate room and the attorneys essentially mediate the issues between the parties.  If you have a case that you think would benefit from a mediation by attorneys or a four-way conference, call us at Green & Associates in our East Brunswick divorce or Fort Lee divorce offices at 732-390-0480 or 201-242-1112 and speak withe our experienced NJ divorce lawyer and NJ divorce attorney about your NJ divorce.  We have a free NJ divorce consultation and flat fees and flat rates are available for specific services, such as an uncontested divorce.

Four way conferences specifically allow for instant communication of all issues in order to facilitate negotiating the issues to a closed position while everyone is together.  If documents or facts are needed to completely settle out the issue, the parties and their attorneys can instantly communicate as to these issues and attempt to obtain the information required to close the issue.  It is very helpful when the parties have already produced documents to each other and have in mind the terms that they wish to settle upon and are perhaps close to terms as regards alimony, child support, child custody, parenting time, and equitable distribution of assets.
